THEO'S SOUND CELLAR
Posted by Sid Smith on Jul 14, 2020

Like many musicians trying to work in the age of lockdown and cancellations, Theo Travis will be offering a streamed live performance on July 30th at 8.15 GMT.  Theo, best-known to KC fans for his work with Travis & Fripp, writes. "This is exciting news! I will be performing a solo gig for those lovely people at the SoundCellar in Poole, Dorset UK which will be streamed live via Zoom.

Ticket info is all on the SoundCellar website and tickets are available through Eventbrite. One great thing, especially for those of you in the USA or other places in a different time zone to the UK is that the ticket means you can watch the gig at a later time/ date.

For this gig – which will my first ever solo streamed gig and one of my rare completely solo performances, you can expect music from my solo albums – ‘Slow Life’ and ‘Open Air’, ambient and experimental improvisations, radical rearrangements of pieces from albums such as ‘Heart of the Sun’ and ‘Earth to Ether’, a cover of a John Surman classic, alto flute, soprano sax, tenor sax and possibly a surprise or two as well.

The performance will be about 50 mins and straight after there will be a Question and Answer session. It should be a lot of fun, so do please save the date, get your ticket, and do come along. It will be great to see you there!"
